I am a recent 1st Class Honours Knitted Textile design graduate from Nottingham Trent University School of Art and Design.
With a platform of transferable skills and a positive approach to new challenges, they can easily be demonstrated in many opportunities that I would love to be a part of. My interests lie in the research of not only trend and concept, but also innovative materials, which are emphasised through several experimental processes and technical swatches. I have always had a strong passion for sustainable design and ethical practices, and it is something that I incorporate into both my personal and professional life. Through my degree work I had a strong focus on consumer attitude and vulnerability within the current climate. My concepts also encouraged and achieved longevity and adaptability in design by combining nostalgic and modern lifestyle trends. I am confident and easily adaptable for working individually but also with others as demonstrated in my recent collaborative project with SPINEXPO and Nottingham Trent University, where my work has been successfully chosen to be displayed in Shanghai. I've been fortunate to have interned at Julien Macdonald and Next Head office, where my love of being hands on were greatly recognised, something I wish to continue into the next step of my career. |
